CITY GUIDE TRAVEL GUIDE

World Travel Guide Asia Malaysia Selangor City Guide Selangor
Selangor Selangor Picture choosen by: Ms.yuwei zhou Selangor Selangor is the wealthiest, most urbanized and, with 4.1 million people, the most populous of Malaysia's states. It is centred around the urban sprawl of the Klang Valley, surrounding but not including the capital Kuala Lumpur and the capital-to-be Putrajaya.
Selangor State covers the Klang Valley and is one of the most progressive states, powering the economic growth of the country. Shah Alam is the capital. Petaling Jaya is the second city. Klang and Subang Jaya are also fast growing townships.

Things to do: The "Blue Mosque" of Shah Alam
Located in Shah Alam, the capital of Selangor, the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque can accommodate 24,000 worshippers.

It is one of the largest mosques in Malaysia and some of the tallest minarets and dome.

The outside garden ponds reflect this distinctive Kelantanese style mosque with its beautiful blue color theme. We parked our car and wondered through the garden and enjoying the view of the mosque.

You cannot miss the mosque when you are in Shah Alam. From the Federal Express Highway from Kuala Lumpur to Shah Alam, it is on your right and you will soon see the mosque. So just go there and have a good look!
