Coconut milk is ubiquitous in Malaysia and is an essential ingredient to any curry or dessert. Rice, of course, accompanies every meal. Exotic meat-free dishes can be sampled in vegan restaurants and to experience real local cuisine try a meal at a South Indian banana-leaf restaurants where it is customary to be served your food on a banana leaf and to eat with your hand.
